The Residence transforms the character of the shophouse into a place to stay.
Light moves differently here. Softer. Slower. Experienced privately and at your own pace. The rooms are designed with the conditions for rest.

Who it's for
The Residence suits those spending time in the city for work, and anyone drawn to a quieter and more considered alternative stay. It is equally suited to returning Somer Circle members who value the comfort of familiar rooms and familiar rhythms.
The Somer House Residence is a collection of eight long-term rooms, each named after the developers who shaped this building. Shared between them: a social lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry room. What sets them apart is the light, the ceiling, and the view.
Loft
Elias Loft
The Elias Lofts are the largest in the Residence — generous, high-ceilinged spaces where the bed sits on a mezzanine above the living area below. Natural light comes in generously, shifting through the day in the way that only a well-positioned room allows. If you want to feel the full character of the shophouse, this is where you find it.
A companion to the Elias, the Ellis Loft shares the same generous proportions and mezzanine layout. Its character comes from a slightly different position in the building — a distinct relationship with light, and a view that is uniquely its own.
The Sassoon Studio is a single-level room — compact, considered, and complete. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Designed for those who prefer clarity over scale, and who know that the best rooms are the ones that feel just right.
Shared between all Residence guests, the Social Lounge is the heart of the upper floor. A fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting area, and the kind of light that makes an afternoon feel like a long one.
